Over the years I struggled to get my blood knots to hold. I've finally learned a few things that has changed all that....

Make the perfect number of turns....

.016 and larger diameter - 3-4 turns

.010 - .015 and larger diameter 4-5 turns

.010 and smaller diameter 6 -10 turns

 

Don't over heat the line when tightening...

Use glycerin or `mineral oil on line to prevent heat build up

 

Don't be a wimp...

Snap hard when tightening the knot
